Description

Over 250 Brothers lived and worked with John Baptist de La Salle during the forty years that he dedicated to founding the Institute. Most of them persevered until death and gave many years of heroic service to the varied apostolates. This study is “more like a documentary or a chronology rather than a history. Only in a few instances can something be told about a particular Brother’s personality and the many assignments given to him. Nonetheless, there is a value in presenting this limited information about these first De La Salle Brothers, especially in consideration of the light which it shines on the person of De La Salle himself.”
