Ways to Support

Lasallian ministries locally, Regionally and internationally are often supported by generous contributions that benefit young people entrusted to their care. Indeed, that is how the original schools began. Explore opportunities below to help those in need by providing access to a Lasallian education and supporting other important services.

Support the Lasallian Resource Center

Donations to the Lasallian Resource Center enable us to continue adding new resources to the website and share the Lasallian mission with visitors worldwide. If you would like to donate to support the Lasallian Resource Center, use this form.

Support a Ministry

The Lasallian Region of North America (RELAN) serves more than 100,000 people through a network of 100+ colleges/universities, secondary schools, middle and elementary schools and other ministries in the United States and Canada. Explore the directory of ministries to support them directly.

Help a District

RELAN includes four Districts, each encompassing a geographic area of the Region. The Districts support ministries, Brothers, educators and other important efforts to change the lives of young people through Lasallian education.

District of Eastern North America (DENA): Primarily in the northeast section of the United States, also reaching to Florida and Toronto, DENA welcomes donations for a variety of needs, including tuition for students in need, San Miguel schools, senior Brothers and formation for new Brothers.

Midwest District: Supporting ministries in the middle section of the United States, this District accepts donations to support students, senior Brothers, vocations, formation, young Lasallians and more.

District of San Francisco New Orleans (SFNO): Reaching through the west and southern states and into Tijuana, Mexico, SFNO raises funds to provide underprivileged students with scholarships and to support senior Brothers, formation of young Brothers and vocation promotion.

District of Francophone Canada: Serving in Ontario and Québec, Francophone Canada accepts online donations for Fondation Camp De-La-Salle and Centre Lasallien Saint-Michel, which both serve disadvantaged youth in Montréal. The District also welcomes donations via mail for two ministries it supports: Centre Notre-Dame de La Rouge, which provides pastoral activities for underprivileged parish groups and camps for vulnerable youth, and Fondation De La Salle – Haiti, which supports schools and activities in Haiti.

Reach International Efforts

Various options are available to support ministries and efforts that span the Lasallian world. Opportunities are available to help ministries that serve underprivileged students in Africa, Lebanon and other locations, along with donating for emergency humanitarian relief, such as supporting refugees from war-torn countries and victims of natural disasters.

De La Salle ONLUS (Solidarity and Development Secretariat): This international organization is the principal fundraising and development group of the De La Salle Christian Brothers and coordinates with the global network of Lasallian development organizations. It supports schools, learning centers, orphanages, youth facilities, social-health services and other programs worldwide, along with emergency humanitarian relief projects.

Lasallian International Foundation: This USA-based development organization supports the global educational, health and human service network of the De La Salle Brothers. It accepts donations for many of the same causes as De La Salle ONLUS by providing a preferred option for donors from the United States.

Twinning Program: This program of the De La Salle Christian Brothers “twins” schools in RELAN with ministries in Africa. Schools in the United States and Canada are matched with ministries in Kenya, Nigeria, Eritrea and Ethiopia to build relationships as brothers and sisters in the Lasallian family. Schools in RELAN also fundraise for their twinned ministries in Africa. Donations are invited for the individual African schools through their online donation pages. Visit the school’s page for its individual donation form.

Lasallian Women of Hope (LWH): The mission of LWH is to ensure girls and women enjoy full access to Lasallian education. A project of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools’ Solidarity and Development Secretariat, LWH began as a small project providing grassroots female empowerment while developing sustainable solutions to mitigate obstacles impeding educational access. Through its grants, LWH delivers creative, effective and durable solutions to educational inequities for girls and women.
