The resources below provide information about Lasallian women in the Institute
and the influence of women in the life of St. John Baptist de La Salle.

  • This article from Bulletin 256 (2017) provides a good overview of Lasallian women in the Institute, and the influence of women in the life of John Baptist de La Salle. The full Bulleting may be found HERE.
  • This documentary and reflection about the influence of women in the Lasallian mission was produced by Maryann Donohue-Lynch and is based on the research done by Dr. Roxanne Eubanks of Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. It may be found HERE.
  • In April 2023, 50 Lasallians gathered in Rome for a CIL (Centro Internazionale Lasalliano) programme. The group included women, men, Sisters and Brothers from across the Lasallian Family and representing all Regions. With the rich theme of Women in the Lasallian Family: Moving Forward Together as Leaven for Transformation, and the metaphor of baking bread, the group had a transformative two-week-long experience.

  • "The Journey of the Lasallian Community" by Br. Gerard Rummery is an article from AXIS Journal of Lasallian Higher Education that provides a succinct and comprehensive overview of De La Salle's own journey to the priesthood, including the influend of women in his life.
  • "The Lived Experience of First-Generation International Lasallian Women Leaders" by Susan R. Hines is an article from AXIS Journal of Lasallian Higher Education that recognizes that a Lasallian global network that originated by men for the education of boys is now predominantly made up of women. The paper describes today's women leadership experience, their behavior, support networks, and the barriers that exist in becoming a women leader. Based on extensive interviews with seven Lasallian women leaders, seven themes are identified and described.
