This Lasallian-inspired, trauma-informed webinar invites educators to reconnect with their sense of vocation and to explore sustainable practices of self-care. We recognize that education is more than a profession; it is a calling, a ministry rooted in faith, zeal, and the transformative power of human relationships. At the same time, the increasing demands placed on educators can compromise time, energy, passion, and dedication for both professional and personal reasons.
In this webinar, we create space for opportunity—opportunity to gather in community with fellow Lasallians, to reflect deeply, to learn from both spiritual wisdom and clinical insight, and to share experiences honestly. Together, we examine the spiritual and psychological impact of burnout, compassion fatigue, secondary traumatic stress, and vicarious trauma. We consider how these realities affect not only professional effectiveness but also personal well-being and spiritual vitality.
Participants engage evidence-based, spiritually grounded practices designed to address these challenges in sustainable ways. We explore how grace—especially grace extended toward oneself—becomes a powerful source of healing and renewal, even when it feels difficult to access. Through reflection, dialogue, and practical application, we foster habits that support resilience, integration, and balance.
The ultimate goal is to care for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—so that a renewed sense of direction, sustainability in vocation, and deeper spiritual rootedness can emerge organically. In community and in grace, we strengthen our capacity to serve with ardent zeal while remaining attentive to our own well-being.
