A Little More Information

This 2004 publication by Antonio Botana, FSC, provides twelve themes for the initial formation of Lasallian educators. They are provided in order to “permit the young educator to discover the richness of the teacher’s vocation and to set out to live that vocation in all its fullness.” The themes are 1) The identity of the educator, 2) The educator’s life journey, 3) The educator’s point of view, 4) At the service of the student, 5) A spirituality for the journey, 6) The dynamics of an educational program, 7) The preferred choice in our dedication – the poor, 8) Open to your and the world today, 9) The Lasallian school – a gospel-inspired program, 10) “Sharing” is one way to go, 11) The challenge – building the community, 12) To associate – a special spirit, perhaps a commitment.
