Description

This is a central online location for scholars to discover research projects and collaboration opportunities.

Hosted at Bethlehem University, the website describes itself as a Lasallian Research Network initiative designed to facilitate research collaboration between faculty at our respective institutions. Members of the LRN include the following institutions:

  • Bethlehem University
  • Manhattan College
  • LaSalle University
  • Lewis University
  • St. Mary’s College of California
  • St. Mary’s University of Minnesota

As members of a global Lasallian network, we often speak of tapping the human and infrastructure resources at the disposal of our institutions and this initiative seeks to make this idea possible. The questions that guide this initiative are simple: (a) How can we become aware of other faculty with similar research interests and (b) how can we put those with similar research interests in communication with one another? To those ends, we are proud to present an online clearinghouse platform, designed and hosted by our skilled colleagues at Bethlehem University: http://rr.bethlehem.edu

Simply create a username and password and be the first to post your research project; as more research project synopses are posted, feel free to browse relevant research projects. If you have a project that you hope can benefit from collaboration expertise, equipment or resources that may be available at other Lasallian institutions, or simply would like to work with a skilled colleague, please upload a project synopsis of your own.

Our goal is keep the platform actively populated with current projects and the platform already contains a simple notification service (SNS) that updates users about new posts and other activities on the platform. We are also working to build a seed grant pool that can be used to assist these collaborations in conjunction with respective Offices of Mission.

Finally, you are invited to reach out to your respective institutional liaison to learn more about the initiative and to access this valuable tool for faculty research collaboration. We are committed to providing the necessary help you need to complete your research project successfully and hope you join us in tapping into the powerful opportunities available within our Lasallian community.
