These drawings are by Brother Fermin Gainza, FSC, from Argentina, who passed away in 2011. (LINK) His Facebook page remains active.

Poet, painter and sculptor, he was, above all, a man of faith who discovered Jesus Christ as the key to his life right from the novitiate and tried to grow in permanent surrender in prayer and in charitable service. He was a great servant and faithful friend of the poor and also a calm and very clear teacher. His understanding of Lasallian teaching, above all of Mental Prayer and the Founder’s Method, led to his collaborating in retreats in many Districts, including Rome.

These liturgical drawings by Br. Joseph Hiep, FSC (1953-1998) came from drawings for the Mass programs that were used at Mont La Salle (Napa, CA) and for programs for Saint Mary’s Residence School, located on the same property. The drawings were eventually scanned and collected into a resource book for the early participants of the Buttimer Institute who had requested such a resource. After some further years, they were uploaded to the Institute website in Rome, from where they have been used throughout the world.

Since the drawings are in a pen-and-ink format, they may easily be downloaded and used in Lasallian programs of various kinds.
